How to read your own OKX fee tier instead of guessing

Guides · 2026-10-15

Ask ten OKX users what they pay per trade and you will hear ten different numbers, most of them copied from somewhere else. The only figure that matters is the one OKX shows for your account today, and it depends on your tier, the product you trade and whether you add or take liquidity. Finding it takes a minute. This guide shows where to look, how to read the table and how to confirm it against a real trade so you are not working from guesses.

Open the fee page while signed in

Sign in to OKX on the app or the website, open your profile menu and look for the fee rates or trading fee page. If you open the public fee page without signing in, you see the general schedule, not your own position on it. Signed in, OKX highlights your current tier and shows the maker and taker rates attached to it. Take a note of those numbers with today's date so you can tell later whether anything changed.

Spot and derivatives are separate rows

The fee page usually lists spot trading and derivatives such as perpetual swaps and futures in separate tables. A rate you see for spot does not apply to a perpetual contract and the other way round. If you trade both, note both. Also check whether the page shows different rates for certain pairs or groups of pairs; some assets sit in separate fee groups, and the main table may not tell the whole story for the coin you want.

What moves you to another tier

The fee page explains what decides your tier, typically trading volume over a set period and, in some cases, the amount of a particular asset you hold. Read those conditions on the page instead of relying on someone's summary, because thresholds are updated from time to time. For most individual users the default tier is where they will stay, which is fine. Knowing that helps you compare costs honestly rather than chasing a tier that does not suit your activity.

Check one real trade against the table

Place a small spot order, then open order history and look at the fee charged on that fill. Compare it with your note. A limit order that rested on the book should show the maker rate; a market order should show the taker rate. If the fee does not match either, record the order ID and time and contact OKX support through the app. Repeat this check whenever your tier changes or you start trading a new product.

Risk boundary: OKX Trading Guide

Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
